One of of the greatest honors for any Freemason is to serve as an Officer of his Lodge and to help initiate new candidates, among other duties.  To journey through all of the chairs of office to become Master of the Lodge is an experience that not only enhances the personal history of an individual Mason, it puts him in the historical record as having served his Lodge at the highest levels.
